Could you some help with this issue. Driving the other day and the charging light came on checked the voltage and it was charging at approx 12 volts checked the fuse and it was blown. Replaced fuse the light went off and then blew after driving about 10 miles. Check engine light is on for a faulty 02 sensor and p1298 which is the ELD. Replaced the ELD but there is obviously a short somewhere which is making the number 10 fuse for the alternator go. Once the fuse blew my speedo stopped working and the EPS light came on as well. Ran the codes and the VSS sensor, the cam sensor, and the ELD is still stored in the ECU. Anyone have this issue before and have any insight as to where to start to fix the problem?

Start by checking for bad grounds, first to usually go is the one going from the block to the radiator support. Then check for bad wires or connections, I would start at the ECM/PCM and under dash fuse box. If you can't find anything I would diagnose for a bad multiplex control unit (MCU) which is integrated into the under dash fuse box.
