Hey i got a 2001 civic ex has 137xxx miles. i went away for the weekend and the car sat for 3 days. got back and it started just fine. Drove it home and than it sat for 2 more days. after those 2 days it wont start anymore. checked the battery and it didnt hold a charge so i replaced the battery. Car still wont start. I shoot engine starter into the intake when i try and start my car and it gets it turning but wont start. spark plugs are new, just had a schedule maintenance, starter is fine and fuel pump works. Anyone got any clue or any tests i can do to figure the problem that would be great. Thanks

I would pull one of the coils and see if you are getting spark. if not could be a crank shaft position sensor if no spark and some time the connections get damp from setting to long on the sensors. Might help to rent a coder reader too and do you have good compression? When was your timing belt change last?

Timing belts were changed around 7k miles ago. I will check the coils and the crank sensor. I will also get my hands on a code reader. Thanks for the advice
