Gas pedal not working well

my gas pedal doesn't go back up as fast as it used to be when i release my foot. i just replaced the flywheel and clutch. is there anythign i need to check? maybe spring or something that usually push the pedal back? thanks. flywheel/clutch and your gas pedal are nothing related. if you have a civic ex there are 2 spots for the throttle cable to mount on, maybe you mounted it on the wrong one? or maybe your jsut trippin lol. in addition to that maybe you should tighten up your throttle cable.

Try cleaning your throttle plate. It probally has residue from normal driving causing it to stick. Its a common issue for honda throttle bodies.
