rapid clicks trying to start

rapid clicks trying to start

So I screwed up something when i hooked up my fogs...

dunno what everything seemed to work fine
didnt really touch anything


so the next day i try to start my car and all i hear is rapid clicking

If you are able to see this message it means that you don't have flash installed or that the video server is down.

not the battery because all the lights/gauges/radio were working fine

tried unpluggin em did nothin
what do you think it is?

Your starter's dead. Bang on it with a hammer to loosen up the selenoid, then try it again. It'll work a few times but eventually you have to replace it. Or if your car's a manual, just roll down a hill and pop the clutch, it'll start without it.

The rapid clicking is the starter relay.
Don't bang the hell out of the starter, but do try tapping it gently.
