Found Part # for 01 civic fuel filter....16010-S5A-932

Hi guys,

Still here trying to troubleshoot this Civic. I want to replace the fuel filter itself. Correct me if Im wrong but doesnt the d17A1 have a fuel strainer at the bottom and a fuel filter built into the top of the pump?

The one at the top of the pump is the one I want to replace since its the main filter.

I went to my local honda dealer and thought I ordered it.....when I opened the box they gave me the canister that is on the outside of the tank.

I need the part # for the one built into the pump itself.......is that sold separately or is that something that can only be bought with a new fuel pump assembly?

Thanks

Re: Part # for 01 D17A1 fuel filter...........

Is this it? Part # should be 16010-S5A-932. Some people here have changed it before.

Re: Part # for 01 D17A1 fuel filter...........

I'm pretty sure you can only buy the whole pump assembly and it comes with it. When I pulled my pump for the swap to my Walbro 255, I don't ever remember seeing a fuel filter on top of it or anywhere near it, aside from the strainer at the bottom.

Re: Part # for 01 D17A1 fuel filter...........

That's the whole pump carriage assembly. I didn't know there was a filter in it though. The only filter I saw (and I had to disassemble it to install the new pump) was the strainer on the bottom. If there's one in there, Honda does a good job of hiding it.

yes you can replace the filter seperately, the filter is actually what the pump connects too. did mine a few years ago.
