Service Recall

I don't know how many of you know this but.......Honda has a servise bulletin for 2001-03 civic with manual tranny, my car was making this wierd noise in the front end like a clicking or knocking sort of , anyways i finally figured it out!!!!! They are recalling some parts. They are replacing my reverse idler gear, the 1st/2nd syncro hub/sleeve set, and the reverse gear holder cause they are faulty, and even though i still have warranty it's not covered under that, it is replaced for free cause it's their mistake. Hope this helps, And my car did this when i was in second gear only and taking a right corner.Good luck!!!! Let meknow if this is already on here and i will delete it thanx To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: Service Recall

Just bring ur car to the nearest honda dealership and tell them too look it up in their recalls/service bulletins, it's difficult to read but the paper i got from them says the bulletin number is lll-1-03 and the date of issue was Mar.5/2003, hope this will help ya! And they shouldn't charge you anything so don't let them cause it's a faulty part or parts which is their fault.........i think that they should do something to try and contact owners of the vehicles that have recalls but oh well.
