Exclamation Trunk Wont Open?@ :(

i was fidling with the key for the trunk by the driver seat just locking it and unlocking it then when i tried to open the trunk it doesnt open anymore. they latch is just stuck in place, the only way i am able to open it is with my key... its gay cuz i have to turn off my car and give my friends my keys just to open the trunk and it sucks. lol please help anyone?! thanks To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

um maybe you just locked it? lol. put the key back in and reverse the way you turned it.

Not to sound like a smartass here, but when you lock the trunk lever next to the drivers seat, it locks the lever next to the seat, not the trunk itself. Do what gearhead said and try turning the lock next to the drivers seat the other way.

lol im not that stupid i have been turning the key and pulling the lever at the same time in all directions and it doesnt come up. cmon guys =/ lol the gas cap opens, i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but with the key in both directions the trunk doesnt open...

The locking mechanism for the trunk/gas latch isn't very good. Mine got jammed too, I was only able to open the trunk from the outside, but the gas lever was fine. Even when it was in Lock or unlocked it still didn't work.

grrrr =/ then what should i do? take it to the dealer or something. most of their work are just temporary fixes so you keep coming back though =| any suggestions?

just take it apart and clean/jiggle the pieces around. the cover pries off and then there's a screw.
