Rep Power: 0 For the time I've driven my car, I've only used it maybe twice? I dunno... I don't use it since my car is a manual and I feel like I'm in less control. With automatics it's kew, but nah... haven't had that problem.

What makes you say that CC is dangerous? Very strange...
I love cruise control and it works very well with a continuously variable transmission in hilly areas.
Back to the original post, I have had that same problem of the cruise control not clicking on right away when I press SET. I have no idea what's up with that. Did you get Honda to fix it? If so, what did they say?

Rep Power: 0 Take it to the honda dealer and have them check it out. You mentioned trying to change the color of the light, and they may try to hammer you with the costs of fixing it because of that.

Rep Power: 0 I know this sounds dumb, but if you have a stick, take your foot completly off the clutch. I used to have the same 'problem' until i realized that i still had a little pressure on the pedal. Maybe it was just me though.

Rep Power: 0 I have the same problem.
Brought it to the Dealer. They did nothing but waste my gas, time, and mileage.
They'll give you some excuse about you're setting your Cruise Control on too low of a speed and send you packing.
I think I may have found the source of the problem on my own.
The problem I think is related to the brakes.
The cruise control is canceled whenver you apply the brakes or the clutch.
How it knows if the brake or the clutch is activated I don't know.
For my car, I think what's happening is that I push down on the brakes but once I release it, it probably doesn't pop all
the way up back to its original position. So the cruise control still thinks that I have my foot on the brakes.
If I then try to push the brake upwards a little bit then I will be a set the cruise control again.
I'm going back to the dealer and show them my theory. Who knows what they will do.

Rep Power: 0 I know this may sound stupid, but it was mentioned above. Make sure your feet are completely off the brake and/or clutch. When I had my Integra I had a "problem" with the cruise control not activating, it was to point where I would be bitching at the car while frantically pushing the set button. Then after this had gone on for about 2 months I finally realized why it would not engage....my damn foot would rest on the clutch.
By the way, if you have a 5spd make sure you do not pop your car out of gear (without pushing the clutch) while the cruise is on, the cruise will redline the engine until you stop it.

Rep Power: 0 I have the problem where it seems like the buttons stick together. I cleaned them by running a damp rag in between the buttons and now it seems to work ok.

Rep Power: 0 A buddy of mine used the cruise constantly in his 93 LX, speeding up and slowing down in regular city driving. Never had a problem with it. I use it occasionally, but only on the highway. It's great!

Re: cruise control!!!
Shoot, I wished mine worked. The light comes on when I push the button to activate it but when I try to set it I get nothing. My car's an AT.
I need cruise control for my long commutes.

Re: cruise control!!!
I still haven't received any help, i know there has been links to it that people could not post. if those people could email it to me i would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1000 mile one way trip this Christmas and really could use the cruise control. Unfortunately can not pay some one at this time....
