i rotated my tires at 10k miles and now it seems like my steering wheel is shaking a lot more than it used to (if it used to at all) at around 80 mph and up. is this normal after rotating your tires because the tires have to get a new wear pattern?
also, how often are you supposed to get an alignment?
and when i'm on the highway it seems like my car's steering isn't as nice at high speeds as it used to be, like its a little bit loose and the wind can blow my car around pretty easily, would an alignment fix this?

99% of the time you feel vibration in the wheel is because the tires need balanced, since they were in the rear b4 you might have felt a little in your seat or not much of anything at all......but i would advise just to get them balanced, should cure it
If you swapped your tires from side to side and changed the rotaiton, then it will be squirrely for a while. Better to rotate just front to back AND balance too.
i had a really bad vibration in my 88 omni going 90 on a private road, the steering wheel was making a 70-90 degree arc. it needed an alignment, but at the time also had one low tire and one overinflated tire in front, once the tire pressure was fixed, it still had vibration, but nothing like it had before
Yup just have the wheels balanced. You did't notice as much as before because only one wheel needs to be unbalanced especially at 80 mph. So, if the tire was on the back of the car you probably wouldn't notice it. Since theres no device like the steering wheel to show you. The steering wheel is a very good indicator of unbalanced wheels.
