out of gas. fuel lid wont open.

Thats right. I had to drive home on fumes from CT to NJ because the damn fuel door refused to open. I tried everything short of prying the door open, which I didnt since it wouldnt budge and I didnt want to dent/scratch/bend anything. And let me tell you, this thing wasnt letting loose. I tried putting my house key between the 1/4 panel and the fuel lid and i actually bent the key trying to pop it open. Anyway, turns out the cable that runs to the lid broke. Has this happened to anyone else? I never really thought/worried about something like this happening till I realized there was no other way of getting it open and i was out of gas. Yes, this did happen to others. Open the trunk, peel back the carpet over the fuel inlet, and pull on the cable from there to get gas.

The cable may not be broken, someone said that it pops off the rollers it runs on....
I have not looked at this myself, but I hear it's a fairly simple fix.

Yea unfortunatey the cable was snapped. Not sure how this could have happened. But i took it to the dealer, who was an absolute pain in the a$$ by the way, and they fixed the problem. Thanks for the help.
