ABS light is on

my ABS light started coming on. yesterday i had a tire blow out so i put on the spare doughnut tire and no lights came on. then when i got home i switched the doughnut for one of my old stock steelie firestone tires (which is also about 1 inch thicker than my yokohamas which are 205/50/15). then after about 1 minute of driving the ABS light came on, i turned the car off, then turn it back on and the light is gone, then i drive for a minute and it pops back on. any guesses why? i topped off my brake fluid about a week or so ago, but i used DOT 3 fluid like the manual said and i'm at about 20,700 miles. The ABS sensor must be clipped when you put the steelie back on...
