ANyone else have a problem opening their gasoline cap door?

ALright its been occuring every single time i fill up. I press the latch down to open the door to the gas cap and it wont open! I have to keep pressin the latch maybe 20-25 times rapidly and finally the door opens. Its just a pain in the butt cause other people are just sitting behind me waiting for me to start filling up. What can i do to make the latch open normal? is there some kind of latch behind the door that closes the door too tight or something? I haven't had a problem yet.

Just to make sure, are you pressing it down all the way? Give it a good, hard push.
(you never know; some guy couldn't get his passenger side window down due to the window lock button )

Another thing to look for is make sure that the key lock is fully in the OPEN position. Do you have any problems opening your trunk?
