on occasion my car will rev up and down to 4 grand from idle and stall after that, completely on its own. i assume its a problem with some kind of sensor....what could it be? also, its almost always when the engine is not warmed up.

I've had mine rev up to about 2500 rpms on cold days, but only when you first start it. It's most likely a computer or sensor problem, maybe caused by that CHIP you have. Those are nothing but trouble. If you're gonna get some kind of electronic upgrade, VAFCII by apexi is made for that.
no the chip is no longer there, the only thing that could be considered a tchip is that resistor, but this is not at startup, but usually a few minutes after
Oh okay. No more messing with your car. Take that stupid resistor you got off ebay and throw it away. Does nothing. Neither does the throttle body heater bypass. Put it back the way it was, because that's your problem. The whole reason Honda installed that was to prevent the throttle body from sticking in COLD weather. Don't do stupid mods like that! Just trying to help. Take it from someone who's been down that path and realized it a year later.
Like I said before, I'm just trying to help.Put the throttle body heater back the way it was and problem solved. The olny people who disable it live in Florida, and even then there's no gain. I can't make you change your view on this stuff, but most cheap parts give little or no power gains. My old AEM intake actually gave me LESS power in lower rpms. But hey, it's your car so do what you want to it.
haha yeah i dont use the site much. i also experienced loss of power on low rpm with aem. and yeah, i know those little mods dont do much, theyre just a product of boredom. thanks for your help.
