Rep Power: 0 Wool pad leaves white scratches
My ride: Honda civic DX '03
paint: original - nighthawk black
I was attempting to give my hood a good detail n shine this afternoon, however ran into a major problem...
Using meguiars M85 diamond cut compound with a wool pad, I noticed after completing the first quarter of the hood that the entire area was now filled with hundred of tiny white scratch marks.
I wiped down the area for 10+ minutes hoping it was possibly compound stuck in all these little crevices? No luck in the wipe down. I then tried to clay bar the area. Nothing. I then washed the area, again with no luck. I then pulled out a foam pad & meguiars 82 in hopes that might pull something out. Nope, it did absolutely nothing. I then took a paper tower and some isorpoyl alcohol and tried to wipe the the area. I mean, I put major elbow grease into this, just focusing on one or two little areas. IT DID NOTHING!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
Somebody please, please give me some suggestions. I'm soooo pissed right now. My hood really looked good over all before this. There was a couple small 2-3 inches scratches i wanted out and as a result now the whole front quarter of the hood looks AWFUL!!!! White specks everywhere! Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
