I used rubbing alcohol on the glass to remove dried up pine sap, but I am afraid to use it on the paint. Will it damage the paint? How about Goo Gone? If there is something better let me know.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

We use rubbing alcohol to clean surfaces (including body paint) as prep for installing accessories that adhere with double sided tape.
It will strip wax but it doesn't seem to hurt the paint.

Isoprophyl alcohol is perfectly fine on both clear coat and gel coat. It is an excellent prep cleaner and evaporates quickly. We use it daily to neutralize the adhesive remover and to prep the surface for new decals.
But that said, it probably won't remove the sap. Use your goof off or goo gone or other adhesive remover then use the alcohol to clean it up.
