To me driving a 5 speed is like a toy, I have a pro license, AZ class, I drove buses, 18 wheelers etc etc, but somehow, it's less hassle to drive automatic, but then again, to each his own.
Damn, I wont be able to sleep tonight! I can't stop thinking about the car, cant wait to pick it up!
If you're going to mod, definitely a manual. There is no point or fun in modding an automatic. How boring that would be to drive. However driving in New York City/New Jersey traffic is the only time I've ever wished I had an automatic. It just plain sucks with a manual and your ankle gets tired as hell. Plus it just plain annoying to be going so slow and having to constantly throw the clutch in.

Same situation in Toronto. Besides that, I am starting to work in construction/carpentry so I'll have to use the cell phone often and run all over the place to get checks and buy some materials so it's a lot easier with automatic.
totally manual. Automatics imo are just way too boring to drive. You can have so much more fun with a manual. But then again, it sux large to be stuck in a traffic jam with a 5-spd
i can't imagine how much frustration and how tired i'd get driving 2.5 into Toronto when it's only supposed to take 1.5 max...(50 mins was my record so far)
yeah...hit the rush hour traffic in mississauga...it's crazy...
