There's a place in Barrie I talked to...

They said... $480, tax in... that's just the catback tho... installation is another $120 or something?

that's impossible, assuming you could get it in at least a quarter of the pipe will stick out of your trunk and the weight of the pipe could damage the trunks plastic molding, not to mention dirtying up the interior of your car. since the back seat flips down on an angle and the front seat doesn't go all the way down it's not possible to get the pipe in, it's way too stiff for that. i have the 4 door and i couldn't get that pipe in. the guy at the shop offered to cut the pipe in half and said i'd need to get it welded back together if i wanted it back on my car. i told him forget it, and got my accord wagon to pick it up later that day. it barely fit in there with the seats down.

hey grumps you better check your exhaust again and make sure it's a magnaflow because for the price you paid, it's either stolen(if it's real) or some no name knock off that's probably downgrading your car's performance.

I have the catback and its real nice. Not too loud at all. I got mine from that place in Barrie. They are called Eurotech and the number is 705-735-6069. Tell them Mario referred you and they should hook you up with a pretty good deal, but that place on Warden sounds like an amazing deal!

I still have my original exhaust. I put into my car with passenger & back seats down and wrapped a cloth around any parts that came in contact with the car. I cant remember if it hung out at all, but it can be done. The stock exhaust is worth about $600 or so, so make sure you get it back.

No problems so far for me. Feels and sounds faster hehe.
Sometimes you can hear it scrape over speed bumps or steep driveways though but so
far I have been very pleased with mine. I wish it was just a little louder. I might take off the resonater to see how it sounds but I dont want to draw to much attention from the cops if it gets too loud.

just called the place...
pretty sure its a chinese guy from his fobby talk/accent.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

talk to a guy name Sam

he said $450 including tax if cash deal... (good price) and including installation .. (2 - 3 hrs install) ...... for the magnaflow catback (midpipe and muffler)

its only the magnaflow muffler.. with a custom made midpipe.
he said its the same price for whatever size you want.. 2inch .. 2.25 inch.. 2.5 inch.. or whatever.
and the material of the midpipe is alluminum *which what he said i believe*

is the midpipe being alluminum the best way to go?
shouldnt it be like stainless steel or something? or rust free?

i guess i can ask that next time.

i've heard for a stock civic.. (as in non turbo engine) ... 2.25 inch is the size to go with...
can anyone comfirm that? thx.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

called AUTOBAS

the guy quoted me $650 over the phone.... including installation
like he said also, its only the magnaflow muffler.. with a 'custom or custon band' brand midpipe... 2.25inch.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

speedtech.....
quoted me close to $800 over the phone.

if its not the actual magnaflow cat-back its not worth 450 for it! because the magnaflow comes in stainless steel piping. usually installing exhaust with custom piping go for about 200, and magnaflow muffler does not cost 250! they are cheaper.
