I thought I was a newbie and couldn't drive it properly so I practiced and finally got the hang of it!
FIRSTLY
THIS is what I noticed:
*-----------F====*
Depressing the clutch fully there is ALOT of "useless" length.
from * ----------F
this length is extremely deeper than MOST manuals I have driven in the past 6 months. FROM an 1990 NO BRAND car to JEEPS to CELICA to PICK UP TRUCKS.
This is how my legs look
right foot 0-----
left foot clutching 0----------
2)
there is a SLIGHT DIP from
F====*
This little DIP is quite annoying because my foot gets caught meaning i cannot fully release the CLUTCH if i was PARKING or GOING ON 1st GEAR.
Well, how does my foot get caught? I measured it and right at an angle \ that little curved dip PERFECTLY pervents my ankle from tilting and releasing it fully. (what LUCK)
There is a solution which is to NOT FULLY depress the clutch when i change gear!... BUT my mechanic told me that it kills the clutch badly if I did that.
SOOO in the end, does anyone have any tips
SO FAR, I can drive ANY OTHER CAR that's a manual except MINE. hahaha

I find the clutch awesome in our civics. I drove my buddies Ford Probe and the clutch sucks large..
What I found about our clutches is that, whenever I press the clutch fully it sticks a little bit. Which doesn't bother me because I never press it fully I only change gears at the certain "sweet spot" or whatever. The closer I am to the "Sweet spot" or whatever or wanna call it hehe, the smoother the shifting.
hahah..... do u use ur WHOLE leg to move the clutch????? cuz i dont... i use my ankle as my pivot point and let the clutch pedal slide around my foot... using ur ankles to move the clutch is better IMO cuz u r using less muscles thus giving u more control pressing and depressing the clutch pedal... the only downside to this is when it rains my shoes always squeeks cuz its rubbing my pedals while wet.. soo it kinda gets annoying.. but other than that.. my shifting is as smooth as silk..... bwahahah... unless i dont get to drive the car around for a couple of days.. bwahahah.. right CUE???
