I'm just curious if there's anyone else here with a 2002 Civic LX-Sport (Sedan)? My parent's bought one about a month and a half ago and I can't wait to get my hands on it and start modifying it
By the way, are there any other people here from Nova Scotia? Come on, someone's gotta be from around here, I've seen a few nice 7th gens around here.

Well I am not from Nova Scotia...but all I want to say is F#CK YOUR LUCK....man that car comes with a body kit and rims....ahhh I got the same car as you minus the rims and kit....Your lucky cuz I tired to get the kit in and well they wont do it for me...."only comes with that model" Oh well have fun wid your wicked Vic....
define lx sport?
its still a sedan. it doesnt make it better than other lx models only skirt kit and rim and wing. it doesnt come with the vtec engine so its basically the same thing with other lx models mod's u can slap on.
good luck modding and be prepared to spend lots of ur dough!!!
Well, I didn't say that it was any better, I was just wondering if there was anyone else on here that had one, since as far as I know it's a limited edition (but I could be wrong).
It's the same as the LX with the exception of:
15" Alloy sport wheels
Front Nose Wind Deflector with badging (It's ugly and it'll be coming off after the winter)
Front skirt
Rear skirt
Side skirts
Rear spoiler
As much as I would like to have vtec, I don't like the 7th gen coupes, there's just something about them that I don't like.. well that and the fact that it's my parent's car so I didn't really have much say in the matter.
This car isn't going to be a 1/4 mile monster, it's a daily driver and it's my parent's car so nothing extreme is going to be done to it, probably just lower it, bigger rims, intake... smaller things like that.
Anyways, I just found this site the other day and I hope to be around for a while, lotsa good info here.
limited edition means nothing if it doesnt have hp to back it up
as for modifying it..... if you wanted to modify it... there was no point getting the lx sports seden, but then again, you said it's your parents car... so ya
well u did say sport version, i wasnt trying to flame ya.
just wanted to clear it out.
well i have a coupe, only reason i got a coupe was cuz it came with a sun roof thats all
the 4 door didnt have a roof so i didnt get that.
but yah, mods cost alot of dough just be prepared to open ur wallet hahaha
he was saying that why pay so much for a factory done up sedan? when u can buy a base sedan lx and u can do up for much less.
same thing with me if i knew i was gonna do it up i wouldnt have bought it with Si rims or the wing stuff like that lolz
Well there is no point on not getting the moded version on the LX cuz well if you want to get the OEM kit like I want you will still have to pay the same price..and well that is if you can even get the OEM kit...cuz they still wont sell it to me But the stock rims it comes with are like wtf are those...so yeah you waste like money on those...but the kit is wicked and it comes with a sun roof...hehehe MY CAR WITH A KIT
<< if you wanted to modify it... there was no point getting the lx sports seden >>
WTF is wrong wit modding that? he can modify whatever the hell he wants.. i have an LX coupe.. can i modify that??!
NO SHIET.... AT WHAT POINT DID I SAY THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MODIFYING A LX SPORTS SEDEN????????????????????????????????????????????? ??? IM SAYING THERES NO POINT GETTING A LX SPORTS MODEL.
OF course you can modify whatever the hell you want..... im just saying that the body kit and spoiler from the dealership is a rip off.... its cheaper to get it at performance shops.
unless you can talk down the price....... but otherwise, no point.
but dude. the skirt kit looks alright but there are body kits out there for the sedan that look way better. but u know what u do if u really want it. i think all the OEM skirt kit are fiberglass anyway. get some one u know to take it to a bodyshop and have them graft it and make ya one at a cheaper price.
I don't think it costs all that much more for the LX-Sport over the LX, considering what you get, so in a way it is a good deal if you want the OEM look. Although, I could do without the "Sport" badging. I'm actually disappointed that Honda would do this (although at least it's only on the hood deflector and not on the actual car) as just about any other vehicle out there with a "Sport" badge really means it isn't. I mean, look at what else out there you can get a "Sport" badge on from the factory: Ford Windstars, Chrysler Caravans, Hyundai Accents...
The other option of course, if you want a Civic with VTEC and a moonroof but with 4 doors, is to go for the Acura 1.7EL, like I did.
<< well u did say sport version, i wasnt trying to flame ya. >>
The reason I called it the Sport version is because that's what it's called. And since it is my parent's car I know I probably won't be able to do any major modifications to it, like I would if it was my car. The cool part is that my dad also want's to do some modifying to it, but again, nothing major.
<< Well there is no point on not getting the moded version on the LX cuz well if you want to get the OEM kit like I want you will still have to pay the same >>
Actually, according to honda.ca you're basically paying $1400 for the Sport package extras, but if you were to buy them seperatly you'd pay $3705, I don't know about you, but that seems like a good deal to me.
We had a 99 Civic Sedan before we got this, but we were just leasing it, so there was no point in modifying it. And I forget who said it, but I think that the Sport model rims are nice, they look better in person than in that pic... but that doesn't mean that it won't get bigger rims eventually
<< unless you can talk down the price....... but otherwise, no point. >>
Well, we couldn't talk down the price, but we got a set of black steel rims, hubcaps (for the winter) and the mud flap (that won't fit on the car with the side skirts) thrown in the trunk at no extra cost... actually the dealer forgot to take them out of there .
every body is right in their own way. but i do agree that if you were to spend your own money then its much better to go to the shop and hook up a kit yourself. despite honda's quote its a lot cheaper consider they are just lips bolted on, its still the oem bumpers and everything. but when the parents shell out the cash, its good this way, cause i personally would have a hard time asking for 1400 to get a skirt package. so deal with what you've got and you'll make it look good. and for the record, i dont like the rims they come with....
