yeh you should still fight it, saves u a year having to pay anything if anything extra on insurance. it'll be on your record for 2 years, 1 km over 100 km over haha no real difference.

just curious, what did u have in the car???
w33d?

even if it was totally your fault, fight it, you already payed for the trial time. so might as well use it.

Always fight it, even if they pin u with the charges, you could get off with paying less then the set fine....unless they've got video evidence with the actual speed they were chasing you with displayed.

LOL, my '91 civ looked pretty nice weaving in and out of traffic!

I didnt wanna argue with the cops cuz this was the first time ever being pulled over and i was told if u ask questions or if u are a jerk they just give u a bigger ticket so i just went along with him

the only way to get cops to be nice to you is to admit that you did something wrong thats when, most of the time, they'll reduce the ticket, but then you
have no way to fight it cause you admitted you were wrong, win/lose situation.

Hmmm, that sounds decent. I'd be happy. here in alberta you get points for every speeding ticket. When I got busted doing 170, And i left with a 130 i didn't bother fighting it. He could have arrested me, but he didn't. Also, The cop had been following me for a long time, and actually couldn't keep up (I was in traffic, thought it was someone trying to race behind me, not an unmarked cop car ). Anyhow. here's one I'm trying to fight. Driving with lack of respect for others (or something like that). I was racing some jetta, right past a cop shop, doing about 140 in a 60 zone. 2 cop cars came screaming out of the station. but they lost sight of both vehicles. still pulled us over, And there was one turnoff between where they could see me and where they couldn't. When they saw us again we were both doing the speed limit. there was also a porsche in front of me, that I'm thinking of trying to shift the blame over too, haha. But I got a female cop, she was such a bitch. impounded my car and everything. I was ten blocks from my house, and I didn't have the right pinkslip with me (i didn't know that tho, and I could have gotten it from home if she would let me park the car for like 20 mins). So anyhow, I'm taking this one to court in about 1.5months. I'm thinking about hiring the traffic ticket people to fight it for me. but i dont' know. Should I just plead guilty and pay it or fight it?

Contrary to what you think or what the cop said, you got points. In the province of Ontario there is no such thing as a "point-less" traffic violation. Exceeding the speed limit by 16 to 29 km/h is 3 demerit points and exceeding the speed limit by 30 to 49 km/h is 4 demerit points. Like it or not you got dinged by 3 points.

in any case its worth fighting. you might be able to get off scott free or reduce the fine or they may drop the points. whatever, in any case, fight it.

cb, dunno if i can make it on friday, some of my friends wanna hit some bar downtown, but we'll see. might not go. plus i do wanna run boo off the cliff, but he might just pull that off himself. lol.....

Nitehawk, always fight it you might get off scott free if the cop doesnt show up, however the only other way to fight it is to prove that they only pulled
you over cause your car looked like the car they saw speeding by. however if they got your licence before they lost sight of you then, you might lose, I
stress the might lose, no promises either way. GOOD LUCK
