car washes. touchless and soft cloth. post your opinions!

ok, the past 3 weeks i've been visiting different touchless car washes and some soft cloth ones.... imo they're all pretty shietty.

sunoco, super wash 3 color soap with underbody wash.
- 3/5. side of car needs more cleaning but front and under the car were pretty good, 11 bucks too so kinda pricey.

esso, touchless.
- 2/5, looked clean but needed more cleaning everywhere, it seemed to have missed a spot... wtf 13 bucks too wtf

shell, soft cloth ultimate wash
- 1/5, whole back was still nasty. big no no but front was pretty clean, but i dont like the wacking back n forth... lmao

after all this shiet i decided to go with the cheapest till spring and then wash the car myself hehe... but yeh if u guys have different opinions and places to add
feel free

If your car comes out still dirty, just complain and they'll either let you take it through again or give you a voucher for another wash to use next time. We do this often (people at work) at the shell at yonge and york mills. We pay for the car to be clean and if it's not, it's not acceptable.

well, i dont use that touchless wash only if i have no choice. i usually get down and get dirty washing my car. at da powerwash place....i wear BIG gloves when i wipe my car down with a shammie....then it looks SPOTLess.
i went to the touchless wash at steeles and woodbine (esso) the one u said it suxs. washed pretty good. my car had like one dark coating of built up salt and it still washed it off....so IMO its pretty good but it was still dirty though like there was dust build up!

Best carwash I've been thru in Mississauga (I prefer to hand-wash, so I don't go through them often), is at a Pioneer @ Dundas & Winston Churchill.

After I waxed & polished my car, any wash makes the car look intense. as long as it gets the dirt off.

I've had strange observations, when opting for basic touchless washes.

I find that stationnary touchless car washes (eg., Esso at Bovaird & Airport in Brampton) totally unacceptible with ample soap and dirt left all over my car.

The touchless washes that pull the car along (eg. Shell near 7 & Leslie) seem to do better, though rinsing is still imperfect.

IMHO, the best car wash is still (touchful) DIY.
