Muffler Size

hi, i wanted to buy a muffler off ebay, is this a good idea to do so, or just goto the store and buy it from them, cause either way i need to get them to install it for me, and does someone know what's the legal size for the muffler tip, thank you.

depends on what type of muffler you're looking for.

im not sure if there's a legal size for the muffler tip, but i know that a cop can be a pain in the ass and give you a ticket for excessive noise from a muffler/exhaust

it's best if you ask around shops for quotes. try and find the best price.

i paid like 5bills for everything.
including custom midpipe with a magnaflow resonator and magnaflow 4"double wall muffler

I would buy from a store because its easyer to deal with and u can bitch at them if something goes wrong..... can for the size, dunno whts the legal size but i think nething smaller than ur stock one is okay... if u get a bigger one, its just ugly

I am getting a catback for 650, its custom made, real good quality and work. It comes with a titantium muffler, anyways I got it done at Gilman speed shop.
