headlight question?

what color lights are illegal in T.O.? i think some of the blue, purple stuff are illegal and you'd get a ticket for them, but what else is illegal.

really, i wanna know if that ion/yellow/blue headlights are illegal?

if so how much of a fine is it and does it effect insurance much if i get a stupid ticket for headlights?

any help would be great

it's supposed to be white light that is emitted from the headlights is ok..... and apparently the bulb itself cannot be coated with any colour..... hence the cops pulling over ppl with "like hid" bulbs..... that's because it's more blue/purple than white when they look at it.... but i've had friends who've had experiences where the cops comes out with a white sheet of paper and puts it infront of the headlight, and as long as the light on the paper is white, it's ok..... but then i've also had friends that just got a ticket for them no if's then's or but's...... the fine is 110 and it's shouldn't affect insurance.....

it's hard to say about yellow though..... since they use the fact that blue/purple can be related to snow vehicles, there's really nothing in the hta that says that yellow is illegal...... but then again, i've had friends running the yellow piaas and they've gotten a ticket..... it's really up to the cop these days... *sigh*...

this is a fairly brave post. when did this conversation deal with opinions on what I SHOULD DO TO MY OWN car.

differently, if you did whack shit to ur car id probably give you props rather then flame you.

but ur entitled to ur own opinion and taste, just do us all a favour and dont force them on anyone else. thanks

i know all abput this. Im in st catharines and im sure the law isnt that much different there. if it is im sure they are more strict in toronto. i was pulled over for speeding and than the cop decided to be a ****.,... he told me my lights were too bright. I had super whites in the front. And it is true... the cop took out his notebook and the paper shined blue and not yellow so he gave me a 105 dollar ticket for that. If u get a ticket or pulled over dont ever mention how bmw's and lexus's have them. They say that those come stock and its the type of projector light and its legal on a bmw , lexus etc......
