Hi, i live in the Tristate area (12771) in Port Jervis. Im looking to get a gathering together.
ANYONE can come doesnt matter what kind of car you drive. The Autozone on the PA side (Matamoras, PA) allows car clubs to gather there and show off their rides at least 3 times a week. and on the 15th STREET ROD magazine is going to be in Port Jervis, NY. and, every year there is a car show called CRUISIN' PORT. hot rods, imports etc. line the main street of Port Jervis. So, on that note i want to get a gathering going on the day of the car show. So we can all enter our cars into the show (over 20 trophy categories).
Unfortunately the car show has passed. but we can still make the STREET ROD mag date.
id like to have a gathering every month. Have a BBQ, get to meet each other discuss your ride. all that stuff. there is an AWESOME road to cruise on AND it has a twisting road called the HAWKS NEST which is on the edge of a mountain about 400ft above the delaware river. Many car commercials have been shot on the hawks nest as well. so i think its a great spot to take pictures of the rides and all that.
Shirts will be made, banners will be made for the outside of autozone / our spot in the car show (thats if i can get this gathering started).
id like to have at least 20 people come to this.
i already have around 10 people locally that will come. 4 cars are VERY sick. a Supra with about 500HP, a civic hatch with around 700HP, and Right side drive civic hatch with an acura TL motor swap, and my car which has about 450HP (untuned) which unfortunately is a civic hatch (my 3000gt died)
im open to all ideas and concerns. once i get some people interested in starting this i will start making shirts and figuring out a VERY small fee to pay for the shirts and banners etc.
