Do Honda dealerships really care about tint? Cause I had mine in like two months ago for my oil change and they didnt say a word to me about my tint, or if it would be a problem once inspection time rolls around. What about modified exhausts? Damn, I had a friend that worked at mine but he got his inspection license taken away because of a DUI...

Its not the Honda dealerships that care, it is the STATE that you have the pass the inspection for. IT depends on your laws, sometimes you can get away with tint, a window banner, and an exhaust, other states not. Try and find a state trooper or go to the inspection lane and ask for the vehicle laws. that way if it is not in the book and they try to say it is than you have proof that it is not.

well just go ahead and slap me with the stupid stick!yeah I feel dumb now.
I knew that, I'll just have to pick me up one of those "books" or find out myself instead of asking.
Would be wise! Thanks Robb!

Well I don't know if you are being sarcastic or serious, but I was just trying to provide you information if you are being sarcastic. If you were being sarcastic, I didn't do it a mean way, so why do i get treated so meanly? I was just trying to help. And I didn't say it was a "book" but what I mean was it being written down as a law (as it is not the book). Also most people don't care nor ask about vehicle laws until inspection time. I don't think that I deserve to be treated so inferior.

Well for the Jersey people heres some basic info.

1. Tint on the driver and passenger front windows is 100% illegal no matter how light the shade. consequences= wont pass inspection at a state center. $44 ticket, have to go to court and scrape it off and pay around $78, scrape it off in front of cop and pay $44 ticket. (i have 15% tint on my fronts)

2. tint strip on the windshield can be no longer than 6" measuring parallel with the black dotted line on the edges of the windshield. Consequesnce= same as above.

3. back windows you can do whatever you want you can paint them if you want to.

4. neon underglow kits are illegal if you actually drive with them on

5. neon windshield washer nozzles illegal.

6. hyper white, blue, whatever, any colored bulbs other than stock illegal.

7. have altezzas or cleared lights?? If you dont have amber bulbs for the turn signals thats illegal also.

Thats the basic guidelines damn dont we live in a great state!! lol!!

heres a question, maybe i should already know this though. in theory, what if i have tint thats legal in PA (i think its like 35% or something) and my car is registered in PA, and while im in NJ and a cop pulls me over for tint? can he do anything or does the NJ vehicle code not apply because my car is registered in PA?

It depends on the state again. Some states are really dumb about things. Like some states it is illegal to drive through with tint or a loud exhaust. Like what are we supposed to do get out of cars and take off everything illegal!?!?! But most states you should be cool about driving through other states.
