Ok I live on Capitol Hill and know ONE person who's *sortof* into racing so I have no idea where people race thats nearby...i'm new into all this so i wanna just watch or something cuz i've never been [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] Does anyone know general places (that are easy to get to cuz i have no car [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG] ) that I could lurk around sometime, just to see whats up? the two most prominent spots around here are metro (new carrolton metro station, exit 19a offa 495) and V street in DC, although im not sure exactly where on V street it is, anyone know?

...my friends dont seem to get me, so i'm on my own...but i'm reaaaaaally shy and get all anxious in public when i'm by myself, so i'll probably never go *cries forever*

bro, chillax, no need to cry about it [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] hehe, so none of your buds are into cars? odd... around here, hehe, well i guess rockville's a lot hotter of a spot for imports than DC is.. don't worry bout bein shy or anythin man, car peeps (for the most part) are cool people, so dont be afraid to ask people bout their nicely done rides or where they race/hang at or whatever..

i tell ya what though, if you guys wanna meet up with us when we do our pseudo-monthly metro runs hit me up on aim (kion821) or icq (47347683), if you're interested we're also having a mega-meet-&-cruise (50-60 car procession, hehe) from tysons to rockville on march 9th, lemme know!

back to metro tho, the races only happen on weekends usually, friday/saturday nights, metro doesnt get bumpin until about midnight, which is when the two gas stations (the shell and the crown at opposite ends of MLK highway) start heatin up... cars usually pack in there, then the cops show up to deter fights which happen often at the stations, they dont usually ticket anyone unless they catch you doing somethin illegal, but if you have any questionable mods then you might wanna be careful bout gettin in their way, ya know

from that time, people start filling up at the strip just down next to the metro station tracks, its the 3-lane street just next to the main office complex parking lot, the cops usually sit at opposite ends jus chillin, so dont go fast at any point when you're cruisin down the lanes.. people just basically group themselves into squads of cars, and do slow-laps around route 50 and the stations, stopping to chill here and there at various parking lots... on a good night, the cops'll leave around 1am-130am, and thats when people start dragging down the lanes, which is when the fun starts of course, hehe

all in all, its fun as sh!t, doesnt shut down till about 4-5 if the cops dont show, but theres increasing gang fights n people gettin into accidents in and around metro, so the police are startin to clamp down... the cops werent too bothered by it all at first, but the neighbors in the nearby areas are startin to get pissed and its popularity has attracted some really stupid riceboys doing really stupid sh!t

so as of now, we're lookin into checking out V-street for a change of pace, you dont have a civ yet? sh!t dude that sucks, in that case you might probably wanna see if v-street is closer to you, the new carrolton spot is obviously also accessible by metro too hehe

And no my friends aren't much into anything car related...tho I do have one guy who i'm sure would go if i asked him to....he's just got an old accord with no mods or anything and he's trying to get his hands on an Impreza (i don't know why. i don't particularly like them...he does drugs, that's all I can say.) either way he's been checking into the whole import/racing thing as well...

I feel ya on that. not many of my friends are into racing but i do my thang meeting people here and there. I guess that kind of explains why most my friends are guys ;D. I live in Northern VA....I go to Metro on nice nights. Just wanted to let ya know dat other people are in your situation....lol.
