cops buggin you in NYC / LI?

Does anybody have cleared headlights with SuperWhite turn signals (even though legally they are SUPPOSED to be amber) in NYC / LI area? I know technically the cops can pull you over for it, but has anyone actually ever been pulled over? Is this one of those "unenforced" laws or is it for real???

I have talked to 3 cops over this matter. All three said they would never pull someone over for this. However, they did say that if I got into an accident and the who's at fault was hard to determine.... they would write in the police report that i had no amber turn signal... if you get into an accident with that turn signal, you're screwed.

I'm 99% sure that you will get points. I think you dont get points for non moving violations.

sorry iggy,

but you WILL get points. And when u do get points, ur gonna learn that the $130 ticket dont hurt at all compared to whats gonna happen to ur insurance bill. They will make that $130 look like chump change.

and u know what @#$(^@%*# sucks? you cain't do nothin about it cuz NYS says you HAVE to have insurance, and if u try switchin insurance co's they either wont take you (cuz of ur moving violation) or they will take you but it will be so expensive that switching company's wont even be worth it.

speakin from experience man - tickets suck big time!!!!
