BMW 6-series Convertible
Our spies were recently in Fairbanks, Alaska, and stumbled upon an all-new BMW 6-series Convertible that was hiding behind a snow bank, taking a break from rigorous cold-weather testing. Codenamed E64, the 6-series cabrio will likely be powered by an updated 3.0-liter straight-six good for around 230 horsepower or a 4.4-liter V-8 producing roughly 325 horsepower. A power-operated, foldable canvas top will be standard, as will the updated and improved iDrive system found in the new 5-series. Pricing for the 6-series convertible is expected to start around $50,000 when it arrives early next year.
yeah, there was a small blurb about that--that it looks like the pontiac--in the new "automobile" magazine. and if the pricing STARTS at 50 Gs for the straight-6 (only 230 hp), i'd go for the M3 for the same price...333 horses, wheeeeeee
Where's the Williams F1 V10 Powered M6 that this thing was originally supposed to be? De-tuned of course (If they could make it last a long time and still rev to 18000, I'll be happier, but I'll settle for an even 10K)... I still want the V10.
