well Ideally you'd boost a car with the key in the ignition. However most cars can easily be hot wired. Older GM's and Honda's are very easy to hot wire in a snap.......oh you mean turbo charging well... just read Grey's DIY... basically standard turbo kit..and a missing link check valve. New fuel system....if you want to run more that 7-8 PSI.. a sleeved block, low compression pistons.. studded head and forged connecting rods are a must...

ok maybe boosting is not the right word.... MY BATTERY IS DEAD NEED TO HOOK A CABLE FROM ANOTHER CAR'S BATTERY TO MY TO START IT!!!! is it not called boosting?!?!
Speaking of jumping a car, just a qiuck poll on who actually carries jumper cables in their trunk? I always have my set of 2 gauge jumpers (Intended for semi 2 semi jumps, long story.....) I have never needed them for myself and hope i never do, but i think i lend a helping hand maybe once every other month. It was great, the last time i helped a guy out, he was the manager of the petco by my house, and he gave me all my crickets, and mealworms for my frogs for free because i helped. I saved myself like 6 bucks jsut for being a good person and helping someone. (I know, next time the guy might shoot me and steal my car, but i dont stop on teh side of the road for someone with their hazards on. Just a coincidence based helping hand.) But anyways, i was stuck once and someone i didnt expect to help me did, so i think that changed my opinion on helping others when they need it. It would have sucked to be stuck in subzero weather with a flat tire and no way of changing if he didnt stop for me.
well if u got a stick.... just get ppl to push ur car with ur key in the on position.... when u get going about 5mph.. put it into first and drop the clutch for a second.... that should get it to start....
1. Attach positive red cable end to the positive terminal (+ or pos) on the dead car.
2. Attach the other end of the red cable to the (+ or pos) terminal on the live car.
3. Attach the negative black cable end (or neg) to the negative post on the live car.
4. Attach the remaining black cable end to an unpainted metal surface on the dead car, not to the battery post. (A spark could result and this spark could react with the hydrogen gas which is always present in a battery).
5. Start the boosting (live) car first, and run it at fast idle.
6. Start the dead vehicle. If it is difficult to start, allow a few minutes between attempts for the battery and starter to cool down.
7. Remove cables in reverse order, beginning with the (previously) dead vehicle, and allow the vehicle to run for at least twenty minutes to put a charge back into the battery.
