i have a factory spark plug that is 33,000 miles old. Do i need to replace it? manual says i need to change at 30,000 miles, but i think i'm wasting my money if i replace it since my engine is running smooth. What is a symptom of a bad spark plug? when do u guys change it? thanks..

At 110,000 miles, spark plugs, but it doesn't hurt to change them more frequently. But, if you do have a question about whether they are okay or not, take them out and inspect them. If there are any problems, take it to Honda, because there should not be any problems with them at 33,000 miles...
Toyota made sure that the new Corolla beat the Civic in this area as well, the 03 Corolla doesn't need new plugs until 120,000. It seems like that Toyota intentionally tried to beat the Civic at least by a little bit, in every area when desigining the new Corolla. I am not sure that Honda will be able to respond in kind, with the 8th gen Civic though.
