i stopped in at the dealer today after work to look at the 2003 accord and see if the 2003 civics have arrived on the lot yet. the accord dont look that bad, i still dont really like the lamps, front or rear, but inside its tight. i got a brochure for the 2003 civic, and theres some nice colors that theyre gonna have next year.
but yeah...the point of the post:
i have a 4 year lease on a 2k1, so i asked a sales guy whether the civic is going to be in its 8th generation by the time my lease is up, or if its going to be the last of the 7thGen. the dealer told me that it is very likely that the 7thGen civic is going to have a 6 or 8 year run, unlike previous gens. so after my lease i can still get a 7thGen, and w/o all the quirks and faults of the 1st of the generation. this is good news (dont know if its old news, but its good).
it was actually pretty funny, cause the first guy i asked totally got blown away by what i wanted to know. hes like, "im new here, let me get a seasoned salesguy." all i asked was if the car was going to be a 7th or 8th generation. LOL i stumped a salesguy with what i learned on this site!!! hahahahahahahaha

I don't know, I'm hoping 4-5 years from now after I pay off the Civic I will be moving to bigger and better cars, not stay where I am with the same model on a newer year.
I think my next car will be an Eclipse or something in the price range.
I don't know PB, I think they'll only last 4 years like previous gens (6th gen excempt because it ran 5) Only time will tell. Honda is pretty quiet about shiit like that until like 8 or 9 months before.
