Rep Power: 0 Manual transmission oil. Which grade?
Hi, my car just hit the 40k and its time for me to change the gearbox oil. The manual says to us honda manual tanny fluid but i don't want to use that. Could anybody tell me which oil viscosity to use? And also, there is that thing, GL4, GL5, etc... Which one to use for our gearbox?

Rep Power: 324 Are you talking about your manual tranny? If so it's probably 90 weight gear oil available at any auto parts store. You could also use Royal Purple synthetic gear oil. I'm sure your manual says what weight gear oil to use. I'm nowhere near mine so just pull yours out and read it.

Rep Power: 0 my manual doesn't specify the viscosity to use. It only says to use genuine honda manual transmission fluid. By the way, what is menat by GL4 and GL5? Which one for our transmission?
