The Si could keep the Civic looking versatile as the Si is overall a comfortable car. It still has some of the qualities you can find in a normal Civic, but it comes with the benefit that it will eat up a regular Civic due to a better engine. Could you find overall comfort from a Civic in a Type R? No. At least not in the Integra Type R where comfort is only in speed.
However from what I hear, the Si uses the same suspension found on the Civic Type R. (I kinda find this hard to believe but if it's true, then I guess that might make even the Civic Type R more of a "Civic" than a "Type R".) But image is image.
It's easy to bring a Type R RSX here cuz the RSX's image is that of performance (with a little luxory here and there.) I wouldn't call the Type R a luxory car though it's an Acura... same goes to the NSX and that's good. The cost of such degrades performance.
I live in a suburb of Milwaukee and there is a real Type-R hatchback about 10 miles from me. Its illegal because of the right side drive. But i've seen it twice. I dont know about the specs im guessing around 200 hp.
Uh, does it really matter what side you drive on? I know laws vary from state to state, but all I know is importing cars from another country to here is legal only for a certain amount of time.
Hm? Not out yet? Yeah, I know the new one isn't out yet but what about the old one at least?
You can legally import a left hand drive CTR from Europe. Only Japan and the UK use the right hand drive. But for that kind of money I would seriously consider an RSX-S or wait for the ITR.
