I was getting my car serviced at Autoway Honda in Clearwater today so while I waited I checked out the Si. They had a White one on the floor, after I checked it out I found the sales person that sold me my car and ask her if we could take one for a spin. They had a Black one on the lot. Well for one I loved the seats, also the 5 speed has a hell of a lot shorter throw, and the motor is enough to get me in trouble. So now while my car is in the shop I'm thinking, mmmmmmmmmm, I could refinance with a trade-in, I'm tellin yah I was oh so close. So now I'm waiting for the wife to come home and see if she would go for it. I just might have a Si by Saturday afternoon. I feel like I'm 8 years old on Christmas Eve.
I'll keep yah all posted.
Oh by the way the sticker was $19,100 but I know I can get them down at least a grand before I even start with the financing.

very nice, i wish i could do that. my dealership can't hold on to them though, they had one in the showroom once, and that was gone the next week. oh well, i can do without the reason to drool. not that my dad's porsches aren't enough to tantalize me.
Due to demand the dealership near me sells Si's and S2000's "No Negotiating", in other words, at sticker price. Hopefully you can get them to come down a bit. Good luck!

Yah Autoway has that "No Haggle" price but I got them down almost $1200 on my 02 EX. You're right though about demand so I could be in for a surprise.

::whispering:: where is the dealership you went to? That's a good price if you can talk them down like that. I am jealous
what exactly do you say when you negotiate? "no, bring it down a couple thousand dollars and maybe i'll buy it" ? i've never purchased a car... my dad always buys em. help me out so when i decide to get a new one i know what to say
My wife said she was just fine with me trading for the si 2 months after I bought the sedan. She wanted the car more than I did. Ultimately, I just got too good of a deal on the sedan with the financing and everything, and it just isn't practical for a family car. Hell, we had to borrow one of my dad's cars to go to the beach for a week because we couldn't fit everything into the vic.

get your loan first it gives you more power. if they know you are standing there with a check to sign over to them they will come down because they don't want you to walk off the lot with out making the sell. also i find it is easy to get a good deal if you can talk with the sales manager instead of a sales person. I would like to think I got a good deal on my civic i paid 13,800 for a 2001 lx sticker was like 15 thousand and something. I also made the 3 dealers in the area compete to see who would go down the most.
When the salesman goes scurrying around negotiating he is going to the sales manager. If you haggle with the salesman long enough and they think you just need a little push to sign, the sales manager comes in to close the deal. Buying a car is really very easy if you know what you are doing.
I agree. I actually walked out of the dealer when they would not accept the offer I made on my civic...when I got home, I had a message from them telling to come pick up the car!!
Okay I've talked to the wife and after a few she was all for it.
But....are insurance will be a bit more $$$$$$ lots more$$ (Gieco)
All hope is not lost though, I have a nice budget to try and buy the Si seats. I really liked them a LOT!!!!
So do the Si seats "Bolt In" to a regular 02 EX? I'm going to post the seat subject in "Products and Parts"
If you haven't gone to the dealer to drive a "Si" I strongly sugjest you do, a very fun car, much better than a stock Civic.
