To be fair (at 1:01 in the OP video), even the highly hyped for 2016 new Chevy Camaro has unfuctional hood vents... that drives me nuts no matter what nation the car comes from.

Mustangs were like that also. I don't know about the new ones but the 90's and 2000's had fake hood scoopes.
