Exclamation Fraud alert !

Hey everyone! My name's Tom and i wanted to share my disappointing story. I just want to help you not to make my mistake again
I bought a vehicle that had front end damage from a collision, which wasn't disclosed by the seller. And he’d shown me a CARFAX report, which also didn't show any accident records — the car was absolutely clean according to it. However, I ran a report on another website, epicvin.com, and it showed that the car was in an accident and then repaired. I don't know why this information wasn't disclosed by CARFAX, but now I'm aware that CARFAX isn’t a service that can be trusted, and I won't use it again.

Re: Fraud alert !

Always check for the many original vin stickers affixed from factory.....and buyer beware.

Car fax is a joke, I want to see a maintenance log.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Fraud alert !

CARFAX report
A good report is absolutely worthless.
A bad report is worth something.

A PRE-purchase inspection is even more valuable.

Re: Fraud alert !

Yeah I shouldn't have relied on Carfax solely
But the other site gave me a pretty profound insight, with photos of my car wrecked at the auctions that were never even in Carfax

Absolutely agree with you, tried Carfax a couple of times, but didn't find any useful information .. epicvin more much better in my opinion
