Re: What did you do to your civic today?

I striped the heck out of the 2003 Civic Coupe
I am about to pull the motor, I am still working on removing everything nice and slow,
I pull the new struts and put on the 01 since they are shot on the 01
I also ordered new ballpoints, tie rod ends, sway bar links for the 01. Should be in Thursday, I am going to have Ball joints an new wheel bearings pressed in at the local machine shop.

I also bought two more 3 ton jack stands. I am a safety nut, (buddy of mine got HURT when a car he was wrenching on fell) Had to buy them

I am also trying to find the weld points on the core support. Any Help??

Washed and waxed her, and detailed the inside. It took almost seven years but I fixed the coin drawer! Now I just need to figure out which LED bulbs to use for my burnt-out cruise control/moonroof ones. T3 neo-wedge, I think.

Just posted a writeup in 7th gen DIY. Might need mod approval though.

I apologies for the quality of the writeup beforehand. It is not my best work.

Will get an action video up tonight.

I'd take some bondo and matte paint to the bezel to clean it up a bit. Also, some sandpaper to smoothen the "window" out a bit. Perhaps find a way to hide the bolts that hold it down to give it an OEM look. Looks good otherwise.

I'll take a look at your DIY and approve if it's all copacetic.

edit: I don't see anything that requires mod approval. Should be good to go.

I usually use Maguiar's PlastX to clean mine. I've done my friends' headlights too and it does a good job. You just need to reapply it every other month or so to keep the finish looking good!

Sounds like one hell of a leak!

I once had a 'vette that would throw oil all the way out to the fender.

...Since I already had experience swapping the auto to a manual on the em2 I helped Mindbomb replace his Auto, with an auto, because it blew. We pulled the replacement, pulled out the old transmission and replaced the new transmission, in two days =D. Probably about ten hours of work.

weird...
took the wheels off this morning (had to take the summer tires out, forecast tomorrow is 5F...)

the oil marks were only on the wheel. nothing else...

on the other hand, when i lifted the front, the front sway bar endlink popped...

it's nice to drive without it, though it's quite sensitive to sidewinds in the HWY, in cornering the front glues to the road
but the tail wags like a chihuahua

this is the computer to use.

this is the code calculator for the immobilizer password
when you program keys you can either buy this calc which uses an algorythm to create a password using numbers from the hds,VIN,date. or there are sites on the internet you can send your info to that will give you the password. passwords are only good for a day. notice i said it uses the date in the algorythm to create the password.
