Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Reinstalled my new header with the new bolts, and just in time. Only one of my old ones was intact, and it got pretty warped. Here are the springs, the old and the new:

Unfortunately, the exhaust leak is still there (albeit drastically reduced). I can tell because one of my new bolts already has black on it. Eh, pain in the ***...

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Did you replace the white gasket between the manifold and the down pipe? Your supposed to replace it every time you remove it. It isn't cheap either its 30 dollars here in Canada probably half that in the U.S.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Came out Sunday morning to go to church and found this:

Son a b*tch.

Luckily, I found a perfect replacement on ebay for a grand total of $45. I'm not even mad that my mirror was hit, that's not a big deal, what really chaps my hide is the douche that did this didn't stop.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Saturday before last I got the drivers side door handle replaced.

This last Saturday I replaced the parking lights as they've been out since I've had the car. I also replaced both lock actuators, so now the power lock switch works, which is nice.

Next up is figuring out a way to install my newer front speakers, I destroyed what was left of the driver side stock mount trying to install the new speakers on it. I'd like to know why no one has simply cloned the means the OEM mounts use to mount aftermarket speakers. The holes are already there and it's a sturdy mounting system, drilling holes and cutting the door is a PITA. Also still need to use the polish kits on my headlight housings and install the Silverstars I bought. Manual makes it sound easy, but on the driver side theres the brake fuild reservoir to deal with, and on the passenger side the battery. Going through the wheel wells for the running lights was fun too. I definitely owe some Honda engineers a swift kick in the nuts.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

...the brakes weren't as bad....there was still some amber colour left in the fluid...as you can see I rarely ever use the brakes anyway...those pads were replaced before I bought the car about 4 years ago now.

I also decided to remove the 'speed mouse' since it wasn't doing anything to improve my performance either.

Whatever it was that mouse was making some poor life decisions that day. It was all cardboard crusty too so not something that just happened either.

Since my car was cool and didn't ask me for any wheel cylinders or calipers I also gave it a wax and detail.........

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Well I was looking for some advise to remove to gas tank on my 1997 LX when I was over whelmed by all the ADWARE that seems to come with this site. 4-5 time before I started typing my post here, then I could not even type this post without being interrupted by a ad wanting me to buy a Lincoln.
All I am looking for is a few pointers to repair a gas tank issue.
It is almost enough to make me want to get rid of the computer.
