| Re: looking to do a motor swap in a 95 hatch. First off whats your budget? What you are wainting to do is fine. Realy easy and with the right hand tools and just a little bit of skill you could have it done in a day/day 1/2. You picked a good chassie to start with obd1 and pretty much whatever you wanted to put in it you could. If it were me doing it, i sure wouldnt jump on the band wagon of the K. Yes it maks good power and yes it be the cool thing to do. But you also got to have the money to do the swap ie; about 8k to do it right. I would go the way of an h22a. Done this swap so many time i could do it in my sleep. Could be done for less then half the price of the K. With some head work and cams will make more power then the K. Im sure ill hear it from the ones on the bandwagon, but do your research first.
With 3500.00 i can do a H swap cams and head work put down 230whp tuned on chrome. Try to do that with a K, not going to happen.
Anyway thats my .02. But it really comes down on how much money you want to spend.
