on ebay there is an acura integra with the non-vtec b18a1 block but an 2001 ep3 head. it had a rather short list of modifications but it dyno'd at 445 horses at the wheels! this is what i want to do but i have no idea where to start because im used to working with matching blocks and heads. could i get some awesome combinations to see where i could get or is this just as mysterious as im imagining it? also i like the k series a lot so those comments of yours are GREATLY appreciated! thanks!!!

ummm the only thing you get when you mix b and k is a side of fries
Yeah i'm calling bullshit on a B series block with a k series head they don't match up and one end would be running a timing belt while the other end would run a timing chain. it would be easier to cast your own block then make a combo like that
holy fuck! ok TemjinX2 that was srsly what i was wanting to hear!!! i've been doing research and asking around and i even did a previous thread about the k20a2 VS the k24a2 (which one people recommended more for high power tuning) and they were all going for the k20 but i liked the k24 because i found it cheaper. nice thanks dude!

try looking for an acura integra type R that ran honda challenge a couple of years ago it has now been banned cause it was too good but it was a k24 with k20 type r head tsx intake cam type R exhaust cam vtc was moddified to gol either 30 or 40 degrees and it had s2000 pistons in it. the blew up 2 motors just trying to get the combo right but at the time since it was all honda parts it was allowed for one season and it hit something like 290 at the wheels on the dyno it pretty much lapped everybody on the track and one first place at every honda challenge.
On a seperate note I would not attempt this engine build as it is an extemely hard engine build bieng s2k pistons are frm and k's are not so differrent expansion rates of metals plays havoc on things
