I believe it is optional. Either factory or you can get the replica ones I believe. Same stuff.

Re: acura rsx wing????

Lol to the post above. I've never saw it on either I'm curious now as to how it looks.

But as people said above its the ITR wing, and in japan its the Type-R wing. They don't come on the cars "New", but theres tons of used ones that have them. I've seen CF ones, Fiber glass, or in my opinion the best looking one where only the center is carbon fiber.

actually, it is available here...

it's part of the A-spec package available from Acura...I've seen several on the showroom floors when they were available.

Re: acura rsx wing????

Yeah I've seen that factory honda spoiler on USDM RSX-Ss and I drool everytime I do. I'm actually pretty partial to it. I like it because it's manufactured by Honda, it's not made by some cheap aftermarket company like so many of the spoilers we see people putting on civics. I would definitely go carbon fiber with mine and paint over it w/ nighthawk black.

It actually doesn't look all THAT bad on a 7th gen:

I see how people could say it doesn't fit PERFECTLY with the lines of the 7th gen but it still looks friggin' sweet regardless.

What I really like is the '08 Mugen spoiler they're putting on the sedan SIs:

So I got curious, did some sloppy photoshop work, and put that Mugen spoiler on a 7th gen just for some gratification:

Mmm, not too bad actually. Probably won't fit at all though.

Okay, now lets change it up a bit! Lets put the RSX spoiler on a 08 Mugen SI!!:

Haha, sorry my color matching is horrible, but as you can see, it does not fit, AT ALL, and looks ridiculous...

Ah well that was fun

Re: acura rsx wing????

Always wondered about this...I knew it was the ITR wing, but there were way to many RSX's that have them around me with people driving them that definitely don't mod their cars or know what an ITR even is.

Good info about the A-Spec package, manahoonie. Rep for you!

hes right, yes it looks exactly like an itr spoiler but its actually a little wider. if you notice some dc5's have them with the lip spoiler while the type r spoiler will not fit with the lip spoiler

Re: acura rsx wing????

It's not too bad on a 7th gen, but it is a bit too big, i have one on, It makes the sedan look not as long in length

its peoples tastes that matters..

Re: acura rsx wing????

well i dont plan on putting ANY spoiler on my civic. im just curious because it looks sexy on the rsx-s and im planning on buying one late this year.

i first saw it on an 04 rsx type s. white, with the badging switched to red honda badging front and back, with the rsx s badge replaced with integra type r badge. kinda goofy but i guess they really ARE integras and that guy was just loyal to his fav car. it looks really nice. i drool over it as it passes every day

(and its boosted )
