<< Spider, here in New York we have plastic credit card sized cards that we can give to family members that have their name, our name, the police logo, etc., commonly referred to as a "PBA card." I also have smaller sized shields made up at police stores that are a smaller version of my actual police shield with my number and department on it. I give these to friends and family just in case they get stopped or anything. See if you can get something like that from your dad and I'm sure you won't have a problem anywhere... >>
I know the idea of the PBA card/mini badge pisses a lot of people off that don't have them or know cops, but there has to be a way to identify family members and close friends. I do let *tons* of people go that don't have them though. I write the fewest tickets in my precinct.
if you think that cop was cool..then the cop that pulled over me and my friend this weekend must be the Fonz of cops..haha..anyway..my friend got pulled over goin 90 in a 50..kinda drunk..ok to drive but not on a breathalizer..and the cop gave him a 55 in a 50 and let him go...I was in the backseat not knowin what the hell was goin on, cause I was sooo drunk..
Don't know if this has been said, I haven't read the whole thread. But over here in SoCal, the police actually go to the races and have fixed up cars, and if they pull you over ( a fixed up "racer" type of car) then they will give you a free admission to the track and you can race the cops. If you beat the cop, you get some prizes and stuff like that.
It was on my local news, I forget which city was promoting this....

Yeah, the last time I was racing at the California Speedway in Fontana they CHP had a tricked out Mustang out there. Looked kinda cool going down the track with it's lights going.
