Better Gas mileage -Acetone

Acetone In Fuel Said to Increase Mileage

Readily-available chemical added to gas tank in small proportion improves the fuel's ability to vaporize completely by reducing the surface tension that inhibits vaporization of some fuel droplets.

So this site doesnt merge posts anymore? Nice. Long story short. If this worked people would label acetone as "super gas saver" and price it at 5dollars a jar at every gas station around the world.

Red face Acetone

I dont know if this means anything, but as a biochemist, I've taken much organic chemistry and thermodynamics n my university days... and I have chosen to believe that Acetone does not increase mileage...

The article I read to convince me was this one

http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directo...Thermodynamics

Now the question is, will the acetone help clean the carbon residue in your engine to get back that 1 to 2% and still be perfectly safe to use?
