I'm currently looking to buy a Civic and recently found one, but want to get some expert opinion on whether or not it's a good deal. For starters I'm in Ontario in the GTA (north of Toronto). The guy's asking $8000 for it - it's a 2000 Si, manual, 1 owner, no accidents, pw, pl, phm, psunroof, keyless, ac, abs, tilt and cruise, tinted, fog lights, spoiler, 2 sets of tires and rims, cd, certified.
It's been regularly maintained at the local dealer and has app. 175,000k on it.
From doing a walk around there is minor rust on the hood and a few dents. Also the odometer is broken (the dealership is aware of this problem).
Please let me know if you think this is a good buy, or if I have a little bit of room to play with price. And any other advice you may have for a first time car buyer and Civic wannabe. Thank you!

My friend bought a car that the odometer and speedometer were not working, a 99 Ex, and it had WAY more miles on it then it said and engine ended up shit after about 2months of buying it, so he had to get new engine. If you're going to pay 8k, you should just get a 7thgen imo.
8000$ seems like a lot of money for a 6thgen with 175,000 miles on it. Like others have said the broken odometer isn't a good sign. Wait for a better find
