Grey: Apexi makes one adjustable from 1k to 8k up to 25%. With piggybacks you can only increase the percent up to 25%, and that is pushing it realistically. With stock fuel system, pushing 25% over is putting the injectors dangerously close to a 100% Duty Cycle, which means shutdown.

New injectors are not the only thing you will need. Will also need I higher flowing fuel pump and upgrade fuel pressure regulator, but that is the problem HKS is running into! The stock fuel system's pressure doesn't fluctuate like the 6th gen's. It does, but it is not enough to compensate for boost. HKS has a vast information database throughout its engineers, they definitely know more about this issue than anyone here, and with that said we can only wait until their kit is released. Then DIY turbo kits can be made by mimicking their kit, and the DIYers will get to decide what components they use (different name brands, ones that are more specialized for different products...) and the DIYers will save some serious $$$ because we won't have to pay the markup for such a kit and as your mother probably has told you, you won't have to pay more for the kit to have the HKS namebrand on it! Just be patient, because I seriously doubt any shop, having to handle various sales and installation jobs, will be able to devote as much time and energy as HKS will into making the kit, but they will have the time to mimic their idea.
PERFECT- ONE QUESTION ARE YOU READING MY POSTS?- I ALREADY SAID THAT ON THE 4TH PAGE THAT THE FUEL PUMP WE HAVE IS THE SAME AS THE 6TH GEN- EASY TO UPGRADE TO A 255LPH UNIT- THE INJECTORS ARE EASY TO GET AND THE FUEL MANAGEMNT IS UP TO YOU- OK?????? UNDERSTAND?
Really? How the hell can we have the same fuel pump? The injectors are easy to get? WTF???? Have you been reading my posts about the fuel management?????? You can only trick the stock ECU with a piggyback up to 25%, but realistically you are looking more at 20 or so. With upgraded injectors, which I would like to know where the hell you are going to find those, using the stock ECU with a piggyback, you are going to have one hell of a time getting the correct map for the car! If this is your DIY approach, you are not going to be satisfied! Do you know how many hours you will have to be on a dyno with only having the ability to adjust 8 different RPM settings, not to mention even then you will not have the appropriate map for your car. I don't want to turn a good post into a flame war, but where the hell are you getting your information? Unfortunately you can't just slap a turbo up on our setup and adjust the stock fuel curve and hope everything works out for the best! Just be patient, like I have said, until HKS or any other makers that have a team of skilled engineers to come out with a properly tuned kit, then just mimic it.
Ah, I see. So how is a higher flow injector different from a stock one? What makes it flow more fuel? What I mean is if you upgrade to a higher flow injector and a higher flow fuel pump, then nothing will happen without a fuel management system?
Also, will the stock FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) be able to handle a higher flow fuel pump? Maybe it's easier just to get the RSX's fuel pump/FPR/filter unit?
YES THEY DO I ALREADY TALK TO TO THEM- THEY MAKE ALL INJECTORS- MY GIRLS DAD IS CHEEKING TOMMOROW ON THE FUEL FLOW OF AN RSX SET UP BUT I DONT THINK IT WILL BE ENOUGH ANYWAYS- THERE UP GRADING THE FUEL PUMP ON THE RSX WHEN PUTTING A TURBO ON IT- IT WILL BE JUST AS EASY WITH OUR SET UP AS WELL- SCREW THE RSX SET UP
Pinkietoe, for someone who is trying to sell us a product, you sure don't act in a professional manner. Maybe you should think about things before you post stuff.... OK BUDDIE- DONT GET YOUR PANTIES INTO A TWIST- YOUR GETTING ALL WORKED UP- THE INFO YOU HAVE PROVIDED HAS BEEN EXLENT BUT YOUR MAKING A BIGGER DEAL OUT OF THIS ISSUE THEN IT REALLY IS- WELL GET THIS DONE TOGTHER MAN- OK????
Calm down, and stop typing in caps!
Okay, then screw the RSX unit. What about the stock FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator)? Will it be able to handle a higher flow fuel pump? It's probably not adjustable, right? We'll probably one that is adjustable from stock psi all the way up to the maximum psi of the fuel pump.
