Originally posted by Jollysid You're flat wrong. THe civic was the #7 highest selling vehicle in America last year. The Focus didn't even make the top 10...
This is such an annoying thread... I love it when one or two guys have a problem with their car and automaticaly brand every other car like it as a piece of junk! LOL! I have 2 friends that mimic just what you said about your civic when they talk about their Focuses. The fact is that all makes of car will have a lemon here and there. Hondas have always been more reliabile than most manufacturers are and still are to this today. You were the unlucky guy who got the one in million, oh well. I feel bad for you, in the end it doesn't change the fact there there are about 300K people a year who buy civics and are completely happy with them. So you can warn people that you had a bad experience, but you look stupid trying to diss a whole brand of cars. Especially when you diss them on a site developed by enthusiasts of that car.
BTW - I haven't had even so much as a rattle on my car. Runs as well as the day I bought it...
haha, u quoted a old post

who cares at least we don't own eclipse's. Those things are soo pathetic and ugly doesnt matter. Talking about the non v6 version and Im talking about the new ones
I like our cars, seriously the only thing they fall short in is power and thats solved with a turbo so why complain we are better than sentras, neons, focases, corrolla's. Im talking about the non-performance models. We dont have a performance car tor ate against a Srt4. However, slap a turbo on and we kick ass too! so put this old tread to rest and stop the wine. Just be glad you dont own a mustang v6!
yes....its good for college though (gas mileage) but its not fast nor will mine ever be, I think its damn near pointless where im at in life to drop a new motor or turbo it. Im just gonna wait till I get a nice job to get a nice car... I think it goes hand in hand
Yes and no. My dad bought me this as a graduation present. He said after the fact that if he had known I'd be SO into modding, he would have bought me a used car (the white 01 celica I was eyeing) since I'd be replacing all the parts anyway. His intention was to buy a NEW car without any car troubles that had good gas mileage. I'm pretty glad that I have the civic because if I didn't then I don't think I'd be in a car club (7thgencivic) as widespread/supporting of aftermarket stuff. But hey it's the first real car I ever had so I can't complain.
I'm basically paying off all of my student loan by myself which comes to close to $14k so you can kind of see it as if I were paying off my own car. I guess.
I love my civic, its my second 7th Gen, I had a 2k1 Dx, great car, very reliable, like all of my hondas, but there were many bugs, most the dealer took care of, then after the warranty was up, it needed too much work done and someone hit me anyway, and I got a good Deal on a 2k2 Lx at the end of the 02 year, and this civic is much better than my other, I haven't had any of the problems that i had with the 2k1, my only regret is that I should've gotten an Si, rather than another coupe. Theres nothing like getting a new car just like your old one, it feels boring, but as I said, I got a good deal
I had a door glass, brake warning indicator, and several other things...The window regulartors have been changed under warranty, and the car is not yet 1 year old....
I love my car, and I think I got it for a good deal; however, I just found out this kid I know got a modded integra [one of my favorite import compacts] for the same price as my car... I'm over it.
