HELP! Just got in accident

well, somebody just pulled out in front of me and got popped. Actually, somebody pulled out in front of somebody else and we both got it. He hit a buick and I hit chevy truck. So, thje estimated damage of buick=$500. Estimated damage of truck=$100. Estimated damage of civic=$5000!!! mY xcar is tore up! front bumper, headlights, grill, radiator, pobably tons of othjer things that will need to be fixed. stupid crumple zone! Anyways, i have to take my car down to the shop and I am going to try to get aftermarket parts installed. This is where I need peoples help. I wasn't going to get a carbon fiber hood but now I might as well. I really haven't been paying too much attention to hoods so i really need to know good quality brands and where to get them. i know quality makes a difference when it comes to that. Other parts are to include a new front bumper(thinking tsunami) projectors, and upper grill. please help me peice together this puzzle for when i go to the adjuster.

I am going to abuse my powers of moderating to stick this up top. I need to get this stuff together by morning. Thanks for the help in advance. I think i'm gonna gonow.

Well fiber images makes some, they actually make colored ones (red, blue, yellow, and black). Mugen has one but it is hella expensive. There are some people that have the CF hood with the scoop.

Fiber Images

There is a link to the Fiber Images one at 1320 Autoworks. There might be one on ebay too. Good luck.

Good tip for a CF hood: Look for ones with even weaving throughout, and a must is that they have some sort of reinforcement skeleton underneath. Super Street did an article on how they are made a little while back, so if you have that issue it might have some more tips.

I just got off the tele with a local shop that said they are getting some in on friday. Company name is TC spoilers. He told me exactly what you said, even weaving, and underskeleton. $499, no shpping or anything. So I probably have that covered, but any advice on it is still good. Also, with teh projectors, there is a listing for 324 and anothe for 198. has anybody had experience with either of those?

Be careful when choosing your projectors because many people have reported that theirs have leaked, cracked, or blow bulbs easily. I can't remember which ones were the good ones though...

The ones by matrix are good but you might need to have them put some silicon around the edges as a precaution

Just got back from the adjusters/repair shop. They are going to make an estimate in the morning when they have a look at everything. I talked to the guy about aftermarket parts and he was cool about it. He said he would help me figure out an allowance for teh front end stuff and i can go from there. Right now they have me in a grand am. i am still a little shaky driving though. I feel like everyones out to get me

I think if you are getting projectors...well to have HID installed....Are you getting a cheaque from your insurance company? How are you getting the money from this? The insurance company is allowing you to go where ever you want to get the repairs made...and they don't care that you are upgrading your car with after market products???

I am not sure exactly how it is going to work. I will find out tomorrow. I took it to a certified shop. They were able to be the adjuster and the repairer. They are getting back with me tomorrow with an estimate. I told himmabout the aftermarket parts i want and he said he would be able to write up a "front end allotment" which means he will take the amount that it would cost them and give me that to work in. i don't know how exactly i am to pay for it, whether they can cut me a check or what. I do know i will have to get the parts together quickly. I am pretty sure on the hood and projectors. i think i have connections for those. Right now I am trying to figure out what to do about the front bumper. I am looking at the tsunami but haven't decided if thats the way i want to go. My problem is that i'm not sure if i want to go that aggressive and i also don't know what to do with my oem fogs if i get a full bumper.

But you will get a cheque....JUST GO TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY...or you may get worked...cuz trust...they don't want to pay you.....hahahaha...
