GT40 concept

If you have read any of the headlines, you will now know that Ford is going to build (in limited production) the new GT40 concept car. All of you who say "who cares, its a Ford", keep your mouth shut,[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]. A supercharged 5.4 litre mated to a 6 spd w/ just over 500 horsies under the mid engined car will surely give some Ford advocates a jump start to the heart. Combined with an all aluminum outer shell and 18"s up front and 19" in the rear, I think it will be a sight for sure. I know Im still an import guy, but this car will be one for FORDS books for sure.

I thought it was just a concept and that after all the layoffs and production cutbacks, they were not actually going to make it.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

I saw it awhile ago. Looks pretty cool, but don't know what the price is going to be. Ford is laying off tons of people and shutting plants. I don't know if it will go into production.

Man... the Ford GT40's are bad a$$ ! I'll bet they run well over $100K !!! I think the old ones even go for that much, if you can even find one.

The GT40 was originally designed to run at LeMans, and I think it won several championships. If they build this one like the older model, a vette won't even have a chance ! I heard they handled like a biotch. Ecspecially being a mid-engined ride! If I was rich, I would definitely have one of these in my collection !!!!!

yup... four times in row lemans championships...but against now these days lemans supercars street versions its crap but i wouldnt mind ownin a legend..

I hate ford, but that is a nice car. It kinda reminds me of a Ferrari.
