Dubai is like a city being given a complete facelift. Currently, they have all this oil money and have invested on the city's future. You may have heard of the prestigous Burj Al Arab Hotel shaped like a sail...or you may not have heard of some of the other projects going on there...The World (an island community a few miles from the coast of Dubai thats shaped like the continents of the world from the sky), The Palms (Three separate developments shaped like a palm tree from the sky), Hydropolis (an underwater hotel off the beach), they are also going to be building Dubailand (projected to be larger than Disney World), they will have the worlds largest mall once complete, they will have the worlds largest INDOOR skiing resort (the only way i can explain this is...think of a flat round plate...tilt the plate so it is angled at like i dunno, 30 degrees...then rotate the plate....on one side of the plate you would be skiing downhill against the turning of the plate and on the otherside you would be skiing with the turning speed of the plate), they will also have the Burj Dubai (going to be the worlds tallest skyscraper), and at the foot of the Burj Dubai will be a Manhattan-like business park being completely built from what use to be nothing......and if you guys think that this is just all talk no go and complete speculation, well all of these projects have already been started.

I think of Dubai more relative to Monaco in France. Reason being is that its expensive to live there and seeing money all around you is just expected because Monaco also came from a sprawl of money.

I only kno this stuff bout Dubai cuz I researched it last year.

look guys, there are the fvckers who are driving most of the money you spend on all forms of gas. congrats to them.

let me just add something here. One thing I have realized in the past few years is an utter lack of respect for basically all cultures. Americans are gluttons and perverts. Other regions have equally bad aspects of their lives. No one society is really good, but this is good for smart and ambitious people. The people who feed the wants of the common people are very rich.

i was born there.... cars there are a joke there! They don't value cars like we do in North America! My dad use to buy a new car every 6 months. My uncle owns one of the biggest banks there. You should check out his collection of cars, beyond your imagination.

we are no better than anyone else, but we are 100% ignorant to other cultures. we give no consideration to the rest of the world. I feel with all the other countries: america is full of crap. Sure its got some perks, like some nice cities, and good college opportunities. Otherwise this country is falling apart economically. The corrupt government gets worse and worse till one day it wont be able to support itself anymore.

You forgot to mention that they are building the largest airport in the world there, it will be the size of Chicago Ohare and London Heathrow combined so yeah, that is a lot of air traffic. Dubai is an amazing place and wow is there some major cashflow there.
