I searched for it everywhere in the engine compartment hopelessly! I heard that some cars do not have a distributor. How do these cars work? (if they exist)

Honda finally got out of the stone ages and is using a distributorless system - just like GM started to do on it's 8,000 dollar cars back in the late 1980's (how bad is that).
the system has individual coils on the top of each spark plug wire that fire when needed.

Rep Power: 0 I believe our cars have what, just plugs and coils.
Does anyone know if there are wires under there...I would say no, but could be mistaken....
are there little wires under the valve cover or anything ?

honda never needed to use that route....they were able to make big hp from small displacement and have great fuel economy as well.......
when gm can make 120hp per liter w/o forced induction (s2000) then talk about gm.....

Rep Power: 0 Instead of having one coil distribute its power to the plugs each plug has an individual coil, electronically controlled.
